Weber Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas GrillWeber-Spirit-E210-Liquid-Propane-Grill

The Weber Spirit E210 liquid propane grill is the perfect choice for the serious home cook that likes a few extra features. This is an upgraded version of the 2013 model which has Weber’s quick ignition system and Flavorizer Bars to get you grilling faster and tastier.

As far as the infusion of smoky flavors in the meat is concerned, the extra flavour it adds is subtle yet quite distinct. It won’t take hours to set up the grill either and most of all, Weber has paid full attention to detail like they always do delivering another high quality BBQ.

The Good Things

Stellar Design

The new and upgraded Weber Spirit E210 model provide a total cooking surface of 450 square inches, consisting of 360 sq. in of cooking grill and 90 sq. in of warming rack.

You can easily cook for a group of 4-6 people on it at one go. The cooking section is enameled with porcelain coating and the body of the grill is made from stainless steel to help prevent it from weather and the elements.

The large lid helps to keep the food piping hot for hours. Good for cooking a large roast or a pizza.

Looking at the overall size of the barbecue it can snugly fit in the corner of your patio when folded up, and wheel out to a more ventilated area to unfold and cook. The Spirit E210 rests on easy to wheel castors and 2 of them have locking bars.

The Flavorizer bars guard against the flare-ups to prevent fire hazards by burning away most of the juice that comes out of the meat. The excess grease not burnt off makes its way down the special tray to the grease collecting tank for easy clean up.

You don’t have to constantly guess the amount of remaining fuel in the propane tank either. The LP tank fuel gauge gives you a read out of the remaining fuel level in the tank.

Grilling Performance

It has a great output of 26,500 BTUs. The battery powered electronic ignition system is one another key feature of this model just push 1 button to light both burners and you will be cooking in no time at all.

It is also equipped with Flavorizer bars.  This has to be my favorite feature of the lot. It basically uses the excess grease for creating smoke and drizzle. Previously, this technique was used only in charcoal grills. This way, the grill infuses mild charcoal-grilled like smoky flavors into the meat and veggies without increasing the calorie count.

Set up and Other Features

If you follow the easy-to-understand manufacturer’s guide, setup will take you around 50 – 60 minutes to get the grill ready for cooking. Thanks to the ignition button, the two burners fire up instantly with a mere push of the button.

The cast iron cooking grates maintain a consistent temperature throughout the entire cooking process. It is possible mainly due to the pitch-perfect thickness of the grates. Adjusting the heat is also easy-peasy using the control panel placed right in front of the grill.

Cleaning up the grill after an enjoyable barbecue session has always been a nightmare for me. But fortunately, Weber’s porcelain enameled cooking surface can be cleaned with minimal effort.

Not So Good Things

The only drawback worth mentioning here is the heavy weight of the grill (around 114 pounds). You won’t be able to move it alone from place to place, although you can wheel it around your deck or outdoor area quite easily by yourself on the castors.

The Bottom Line

The re-modeled version of Weber Spirit E210 Gas Grill makes up for almost all the drawbacks of its 2013 counterpart. The ignition system is absolutely flawless, the solid stainless steel design is likely to stand the test of time.

As far as the grilling quality is concerned, the Flavorizer bars act as a showstopper. The machine is extremely convenient to use. Granted, the weight might be an issue but it is definitely not a deal-breaker.
